Table Tennis

Table tennis is an intense and competitive sport but also fun and engaging at the same time. In our team, the strong passion for table tennis propels each of us to train hard and strive for excellence in competitions.

Our training sessions are scheduled on Tuesdays (3.30 pm to 6.00 pm) and Thursdays (3.30 pm to 6.00 pm) after school and on Saturdays (8.00 am to 12.00 pm). These exclude the warm-up and competition sessions during the competition season (Jan-Apr). Given the enormous amount of time that we spend together as a team, our team strives to bond as a family, supporting one another whenever anyone is in need of help and cheering each other on through difficult times.

If you are worried that you might not be able to integrate well into our table tennis family, fret not! We have AMAZING seniors who are fun-loving, caring and friendly! Although training is tiring, it is always engaging and full of positive energy! We re-charge ourselves by connecting with FABULOUS seniors through games and gatherings and indulge ourselves with our very own (secret) snack corner!

Our main activities every year are:

1. Training
2. Zonal competitions
3. National competitions
4. Table tennis camp
5. And many more batch and team outings!

For the past few years, NYTT has been training hard and managed to obtain good results in inter-school competitions. Our inter-school competition journey has always been an immensely enriching one, regardless of the final outcome. Through these experiences, we improve our skills and develop good character. We learn values of sportsmanship, integrity, gratitude and many more. More importantly, we fight, cheer and cry together as one entity. These precious memories would always stay with us wherever we go.

Finally, our brightest highlight would be none other than our “DIY” camp, planned and organised by our team. Every year during the June holidays, our CCA will organise a 3 day-2 night camp in school with many games and activities such as  steamboat, midnight movies, treasure hunt, outings and many more!!
