Theatre Club

Theatre Club Nanyang (TCN) is a bilingual group comprising over 50 students with a strong passion for drama.

TCN explores all aspects of theatre from directing, scripting and performing to prop-making, costuming, and crewing. As a bilingual group, we perform in both languages and explore specific forms like ‘Crosstalk’ as well. TCN has been awarded ‘Gold with Honours’ in 2011 and ‘Certificate of Distinction’ since 2013 in the biennial Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation. Recently, TCN was also awarded 1st place in both the National and International rounds of the Science Drama Competition in 2017 and 2019. Beyond these competitions, Theatre Club Nanyang also regularly performs in school productions, receiving many positive reviews.

南洋剧坊是一个双语剧团，由五十多名热爱戏剧表演艺术的学生组成。南洋剧坊的团员们从多方面接触戏剧，从导戏、编剧、道具到服装、幕后工作以及演戏，一样都不少。作为一个双语剧团，剧坊以中英双语进行演出，还探索尝试相声等特殊表演形式。南洋剧坊在新加坡青年节比赛中屡获最高荣誉奖，也在2017和2019年全国和国际科学戏剧比赛中获得了冠军。此外，南洋剧坊每两年呈现一次原创的戏剧作品，都获得热烈的反响。
