Mathematics Talent Development

The Mathematics Talent Development Programme offers an invigorating learning experience for students who are passionate about Mathematics.

The students are given the platform to develop their passion, sharpen their problem solving skills and deepen their learning of Mathematics through a comprehensive four-year Olympiad training programme. They also have the opportunity to take part in local and international Mathematics competitions. At upper secondary level, students are expected to participate in various research programmes such as Math Research Project or Big Data Project, where they will get to explore different areas of mathematical inquiry. These research projects encourage them to value intellectual pursuits and hone their critical thinking skills. They are also encouraged to apply for a study in Advanced Mathematics which is based on Pre-Calculus with Trigonometry course by Stanford University Online High School.

Maths Olympiad Training

This training is generally targeted for students who are in the top 10-12% for Mathematics. Besides preparing the students for competitions, this course also allows the students to explore various mathematical thinking strategies and problem-solving skills.

Mathematics Research Project

This programme is open to selected students based on aptitude and interest. Under the guidance of a teacher mentor, students collaborate in a group on a topic of their choice. The process spans over a semester and outstanding projects are selected to participate in the Singapore Mathematics Project Festival organised by the Singapore Mathematical Society. This research mentorship programme is a rigorous one and aims to inspire students to further pursue research in Mathematics beyond classroom setting.

Advanced Mathematics – Pre-Calculus with Trigonometry Course

The Advanced Mathematics course is a customised course developed based on the Honors Pre-calculus with Trigonometry online course from Stanford University Online High School. This course aims to provide opportunities for content acceleration for students with strong aptitude in Mathematics. It is open to selected students at the Sec 3 and 4 level.
